Selby Jacobs, MS, MPH
Selby Jacobs is immediate past-President of the Board and a former Director/CEO of the Connecticut Mental Health Center. He is a Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry and Public Health at Yale Medical School. He has a long-standing interest in policy and practice related to pubic psychiatry and mental health. In addition, he is interested in developing and mobilizing private, non-profit boards and organizations for the purpose of innovation in mental health systems financed with public funds. He still works part-time as a physician in the Hispanic Clinic of the Connecticut Mental Health Center, which serves mono-lingual Latinos with menial illness or addictions. Currently, he is also collaborating on the development of a textbook of public psychiatry and mental health for interdisciplinary, professional students.
